They want to raise as much money as possible for the local Down’s Syndrome, last week a group named "worthing kids and dapper snapper" were handed a cheque for over £2000 that Brio in worthing and shoreham had raised with a raffle and donations, "worthing kids and dapper snapper" were chosen when they contacted walter with all the information that the group brings to the community i.e - swimming lesson, fun day, support for familys and friends and much more.

Walter said he and Lorraine were “completely shocked” when they discovered. “Lorraine noticed some of the signs after Diego was born, so they carried out more tests on him, and confirmed he did have an extra chromosome,” said Walter. “It is absolutely heartbreaking, because as a parent you want the best for your children.”Diego was born weighing only 5lb. He has three sisters and four brothers. Walter said: “We have all come to terms with it now and we take it a day at a time, everything is at a slightly slower pace. At five months he is now 14lb, and all the clothes we bought him before he was born are now starting to fit.

Diego is very much loved and its nice because everyone loves him in a different way. A group from "worthing kids and dapper snapper" are doing a skydive on the 21st march which is the day of celebrating down syndrome, there are 11 men and women trying to raise as much as possible, followed by an evening at Brio Worthing. Tickets are on sale to anyone but bookings must be made to do so please call 01903 211511 tickets are £5 per person and all money made will go to down syndrome. (This includes a buffet and live music)

Walter, Lorraine and family would like to thank everyone that has got involved so far and look forward to seeing some new faces.
